Lady comes into your office. Sits down, tosses her head, gives you a wide smile.

You give her a coy smile back. All of a sudden she sees the big picture of CW on the back wall of your office. That's weird, she thinks. What's that scary guy's picture doing there ? And it's the only picture he's got. Maybe he doesn't like me.

Conversation ensues. She tries to keep on smiling but fails. What's the grotesque man picture on the wall ? Why is it he doesn't have some nicer guy pictures ?

She gets cold feet. What's wrong with this guy ? I guess I can't turn him on. Desperately, she stands up trying to show of her long legs.

Can't pull my trick on him.

Her: "and who is that in picture ?" -she mumbles at the end.

You: with a glacial smile: Who ? That ? It's just family.

The sexual appeasement trick didn't work today.

I head the Business Dev. Dept. at a software company. I make the big bucks since my compensation my tied to our volume of sales, as much as 3/4th of what I make is tied to front end growth.

One day in my office "Sarah" comes in to bring in a report she "had difficulty with". This girl was an intern two years ago, and she was offered a permanent role last spring.

I looked at the report and noticed she had no reason to come in as it was easy to do in Salesforce app.

She starts fidgeting. She starts making noises. I'm thinking. What the hell is wrong with her ? I'm not even her direct supervisor. I am 30 years her senior. I am very busy and don't have time for this.

Her: "Oh, How silly of me…I knew how to do it, I just had to have your confirmation. Just to be sure."

I had to feign in a meeting and leave my office to get her out that day.

They try it every time. Don't take the bait.
