Lucky dog day today.
I will be putting together a free Bonus material for the early buyers (Aug. 9- Oct. 24) of The Book of the Underdog , available exclusively on this website on October 24th. I want to answer questions that are both practical and useful. What are some of the situations you find yourselves in and get hammered? We can step out of the office into our daily life.
Update: Post re-scheduled to Nov. 1, 2018
For Men:
- How do you answer the question “How do I look” posed by your gf/wife ?
- What do you say when you’re late, and your gf/bf/wife is waiting for you, not happily about it. These types of situations come up whether you’re hedge fund manager sitting on $200 MM or a student siting on a $0 bank account. These questions are always relevant. Your happiness depends on it.
- Dealing with the “spending time together” situation to minimize backfire.
- Men in the position of fiancé: Who pays for the ring?
- Can a man have affairs and get a woman to agree to it?
- How to act when a woman that’s better looking that you is in the room. Have you noticed when a better-looking woman is in the room, women will engage her, attempting to capture her attention? Is that the best strategy around a woman that’s upstaging you?
- Women on the 2nd/3rd marriage: How do you conduct yourself among peers who make that an issue [i.e. making: she’s changing men like spare tires type-of-comment] Let’s just say women are very judgmental of other women, and women will always score other women in terms of the mates they’ve secured.
- How to marry a younger man and get away with it. You can’t expect an outpour of support if you marry a younger male, but you can still make it work.
Quote of the day: “Anger cannot be dishonest”-Marcus Aurelius
These practical situations and others will be covered [can’t promise you all, but will try as much]. If you have suggestions, other topics you would like me to cover, please leave them in the comments or shoot me an email.

If I'm a cat lover, can I still buy this book?
Are you a career-minded cat?
Yes.
All pet owners can buy it.
Meanwhile, here's a video that tells you 3 ways to start a public talk.
Hi Max Cantor,
Can you write on developing more confidence for women? TIA.
Marcia,
Do you have a specific situation or circumstance? We are focusing on practical situations, not generalities. Thank you.
It is interesting that Unhinged by Omarosa Manigault Newman has become a NYT best-seller. People will buy anything that feeds their hunger for sensationalism and provocation (and I'm not saying anything in the book is true or untrue). Regardless, at the end, they're left with nothing to show up for.
But then again, the masses will also buy fried chicken at KFC. That's their dinner. With a Coca-Cola drink.
Don't be those people. Buy a book that's useful. Buy a book that opens your mind. Buy a book that makes you better. Buy a book that tells truth, not outrage.
If there are only two books you can to buy this year, only two, it's the The Book of the Underdog and The Dictionary of Body Language by J. Navarro.
Don't be the masses who swallow fried chicken and fries for dinner. Don't get swamped by the junk food for brain phenomena. You won't get too far in life if you follow the masses.
Max teaches you to think like a policeman.
I teach you how to think like a man.
Hello Max. My name is Arjun. I bought your book.
My situation is: I am a 48-year old male working at a tech company in the technology campus. A lot of coworkers are younger than I (by 20 years). I sometimes feel intimidated by them. I am out-of-place. Can you write on how can I deal with this situation?
Many thanks.

Arjun,
There are some tips in the book, look in the Chapter How to shun a competitor. I will try to shun some light on it in the bonus writing also.
