Those who keep a diet based on their body needs are wise and advised. While no single diet is perfect, I recently came across the news that Jenna Jameson lost 57 lbs. on the keto diet and intermittent fasting. Such achievement speaks volumes for the ketogenic diet.

Young readers will not know who Jenna Jameson is. Older readers know her well. Some 15 years ago, she was perhaps the world’s most famous pornstar and the richest. Her TWTR profile reads “conservative”, “libslayer”. I don’t know how many liberals Jenna has slayed, but she cashed out big time when she sold Club Jenna to Playboy Enterprises back in 2006. That business was grossing some $20 MM a year. Apply a multimedia multiple to EBITD in a boom year like 2006 and guess the fat margins they had to figure out the price.

Fox News had a piece on her remarkable weight loss journey. Now, if I put a Fox Video on my site, it should come with a reciprocation of Fox doing an interview with me. I could come in and talk about a favorite subject of mine: greatness. How greatness can be accomplished. Greeted by greatness.  Where did all the greatness go ? Greatness at play. Indubitable greatness. Why isn’t anyone talking about greatness? What’s greatness got to do with ?  If they want a panel of three, we can do that: myself, Yoda (or a substitute), and Unbounded Awareness. Just mentally. That makes for a very telling panel. Let’s do it.

The differences between the paleo and the ketogenic diets

The ketogenic diet was originally used for pediatric epilepsy at the beginning of the last century. It’s 80-85% fat , 20% protein and maybe 5% carbs. Paleo is the “Caveman diet”, it is heavy on protein and allows some sugars. My understanding is Paleo includes “natural” sugars while Keto is far more restrictive on sugars. So that’s one difference. A second difference is that Paleo includes way more protein that Keto, if Keto relies so much on fat.

Third, keto includes a whole lot of diary. Paleo does not. (some Paleo dieters make an exception for grass-fed butter, however.)

Fourth, Paleo includes a wide variety of fruit, while Keto is very restrictive on fruit.

More information on the Keto diet benefits I found here.

It’s summer; suppose you ate half a pound of cherries -you can’t do that on the Keto diet, you can’t even eat grapes or watermelon. It will throw of your ketones.

The only apples you can eat on Keto are Granny Smith, the lowest sugar content apples out there. Granny Smith have a tangy taste.
