Haters are a common thread these days so we must develop our own “hater-science”.
Haters are of two kinds, broadly:
I. Visible (known) and
II. Invisible (pilfering and rampaging behind the scenes)
Three things we must know about haters:
1. Haters were lovers before they became haters.
2. Haters are textbook narcissists. (if they weren’t attaching that much self-importance, then why hate).
3. Haters are fragile.
The most used form of hater criticism is, of course, shame. Shaming, marking, belittling, ridiculing.
Quote of the day: “..they had eaten the fruit of knowledge. [Adam and Eve] were expelled because they had become minds, and they had lost their consciousness.” -Osho
Take the case of a a transgender woman.
Who will be her biggest haters?
If you’ve answered straight males, you’re wrong. Confident males, secure on their sexuality will not hate or dismiss her. Women on the other hand, will see you as a threat to their desirability continuum and will hate you while outwardly claiming support. Women are their own mental point of origin (MPO) at all times. The other critics will be the men who think they have their morality models in check but are in fact, insecure.
We’ve touched on how haters derive their energy from your reactions, and why you shouldn’t react to them in a previous post.
On a blog that gets so many hits from nickel-and-dime nincompoops, there’s only one way to show them love: put up a paywall. It doesn’t guarantee that stealing will stop, but pretty much it will do it.
The reason Shitter (or Twatter like some call it these days) TWTR has so many trolls is because it is free. If Twitter was charging only $5 a month, do you think it would be the mess that it is now? Answer: Not a chance. Of course, their user numbers would go down from 300+ million to 3 million. Social media is where the masses scream for attention.
Targets of potential abuse in the workplace:
-In the workplace, the new guy (gal) will be a target.
-The top producing employee who hasn’t yet consolidated his position.
Do you know the tools to “consolidate your position” in the organization?
The Book of the Underdog has that.
I hate because I am too good.
Said none ever.
Clint: Haters don't see themselves as haters, but as restorers of a lost privilege, condition or belief. **Justicers**
Max Cantor elevates any discussion to the level of an intellectual discourse.
I think I have been making a case, subtle but clear, of how social media use in general is – over time – detrimental to mental fitness. Remember when I said no man should have an Instagram account, and more recently the twitter notes.
Important: The supplement to the Book post, originally scheduled for Oct. 24th, will be delayed to November 1st, because of my schedule changes.
Dumbshits criticize old men who sit around all day glued to their TV sets; meanwhile they're glued to their phones SM accounts 3-4 hours a day.
Followers: I'll follow them if they follow me. Sounds fair to me.
Yes, but that will increase your engagement. Plus it's not realistic to expect, say Musk or someone to follow you back.
