As if on cue with some of my articles in the past weeks, The WSJ Friday published an article on new buildings that feature many goodies for heath conscious home buyers.: Selling Wellness, Whether It Works or Not.
Those perks I might argue, are not new age crack. They are spot on, and if you can afford it, you should request it.
Some of the ready amenities detailed in the article:
-N.Y. bldg. with “hydrotherapy circuit,” consisting of a steam room, experiential shower and ice room.
-” wellness studio” in another N.Y. building includes a “flotation tank, infrared sauna and steam room. “
-there’s even a rendering photo of the meditation room in at the 1000M building under development in Chicago. Same building is said to feature cold and hot plunge pools and a Himalayan salt room.
-a Palm Beach development, Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences -will come with personal wellness coaches assigned to residents and intravenous vitamin cocktails.”
-you have people who’ve built a chromotherapy -enhanced residence. If you’ve never heard about chromotherapy before, here is an introduction on Chromotherapy Sauna Benefits: Color Therapy Explained
These wonderful therapies I believe, can be replicated on a reduced scale in individual homes and apartments that don’t have the price tags of those high-priced residences. Evidently, it is up to each person to believe in the benefits of those therapies.
What’s an “experiential” shower ? Let’s see.
